Asbury Park Surf Camp, Day 2
by Preconceived Noceans
Once in a while, (about 300 days of the year) New Jersey is flatter then Lake Ontario. So when you have a surf camp scheduled with no surf….things can get dull. However… even though the waves were down… the spirits were up. Today the kids practiced paddling, standing on the boards, and had a good time swimming and hanging out in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The kids seemed to be having a blast trying to stand up on the boards and practicing paddling…it did not even phase them that they weren’t “surfing”… But again…it’s the process! Dealing with the lulls in the waves, practicing balance, form, and paddling… its all part of the big picture. And these kids are painting it well.
Look forward to next week! Maybe will have underwater housing by then!
