Magilla Memorial Contest

by Preconceived Noceans

The first annual Magilla Memorial Contest was held at Crystal Beach, Ontario this past Saturday, November 27th, in honor of Magilla Schauss, the first surfer to surf the lake. Conditions held and offered the contest some clean waves and good spirits. The competitors surfed all morning and afternoon as the waves built up and started reaching some decent heights. The contest started in the late afternoon with three heats in the short board division and one in the longboard. Everyone who got in the water that day won. There was sunshine, clean, fun waves, and a gathering of good people who are just straight up dedicated to the sport.

The day was finished off with a beautiful sunset, Magilla beaming down at everything he started.
